Boracay is undeniably one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country. Both locals and foreign tourists would flock to the island in search of a one-of-a-kind experience. But there’s more to Boracay’s beauty than just the world-famous long stretch of White Beach.

Boracay and White Beach have always been used interchangeably since the latter has always been the island’s biggest crowd-drawer. But do you know, or have ever visited, the more than 12 other beaches of Boracay Island?

Some of these beaches look just as beautiful as White Beach, while others have clearly seen better days. One thing is for sure though: visiting all these beaches could be an adventure in itself.

WHITE BEACH

The longest and most iconic- of course- is the White Beach, Boracay. It is considered the most commercialized part of the island. Everything is actually here, from bars to touts to paraws to bikini-clad, camera-toting tourists. There’s never a day that not a single paraw is in sight.

This is the most loved area on the island, so be sure to sink your toes in its powdery soft sand and bask in the sun while enjoying its crystal clear waters.

PUKA BEACH

Quiet and simple, Puka Beach at the northern end of Boracay is a throwback to the old White Beach. Though much has been changed in this island, as tourists and entrepreneurs are beginning to flock to this area, Puka’s charm is still intact with its clear waters and some untouched areas bordered by its green mountainous area.

It’s reachable via a chartered tricycle trip, or else on a rented bike. If you go island hopping, Puka Beach is usually one of the stops. There are souvenir shops and restaurants at the entrance, making this beach worthwhile for a half-day trip.

DINIWID BEACH

White Beach’s next-door neighbor, Diniwid Beach is home to a couple of resorts, with less of everything White Beach has, including the noise and the food choices.

The 200-meter-long beach is more secluded, and the cliffside is bathed with golden light from resorts at night.

ILIG-ILIGAN BEACH

Ilig-Iligan Beach is located on the northeastern side of the island. Visitors get here either of two ways: they walk inland to Illig-Iligan Beach; or they join an island-hopping trip, which includes Ilig-Iligan as one of its stops. Just in front of the beach is a snorkeling spot.

LAPUS LAPUS BEACH

Lapus Lapus Beach is a rather lonely stretch of beach reachable via Fairways and Blue Water. Getting to this spot may be a bit tricky, but if you’re looking for a quiet shore to spend the rest of the afternoon, then it’s probably worth the trip.

MANOC-MANOC BEACH

This beach is located at the southern end of the island. it is rarely ever on the itineraries of visitors, but a trip to Manoc-Manoc offers a different view and experience. It boasts of exotic Marine life that the local government helps preserve. It is actually becoming the new “It” destinations in Boracay, so be sure to visit.

BULABOG BEACH

If you are in for an adrenaline pump, then Bulabog Beach is for you. This beach offers the most challenging water sports on the island. Located in the east of Boracay, Bulabog is the perfect place to get that rush you have always wanted with Windsurfing and Kite surfing- don’t be tricked though, they may all sound cool and chill but these sports are not for the fainted heart and they are not as easy as it looks.
